Mastering Ansys CFD (Level 1)
Complete CFD course to teach you CFDs from A-Z. Specially designed for students who have no prior knowledge of CFD software. We will teach you from scratch and work to understand all the important commands and concepts to understand CFD and its application to sample problems.
There are many conferences available in preview (free) and based on them you have decided for yourself how good your CFD learning will be. I would be very happy to see you on this course.
What you will get in this course:
1. Complete guide to using commercial CFD codes such as Fluent, CFX, ICEMCFD, Ansys Meshing, Designmodeler and Ansys Workbench.
2. How to define the problem, create the geometry, clean and prepare the geometry, the generation of hexa and tetra meshes in ICEMCFD and Ansys Meshing, the configuration of the problem in CFX Pre or Fluent, the solution of the problem in CFX and Fluent Solver, Post-processing Fluent and CFD Post.
3. Learn how to verify mesh independence in order to make CFD results free from errors due to common errors during CFD simulation.
4. Allows you to compare results with experimental data to gain access to accuracy and quality of results.
5. Finally, we teach you how to conclude the results and how to discuss the results according to the physics of the problem. What is needed when writing your project report, thesis report, or research article for a journal conference.
6. A new section on mixing two fluids with extended post-processing is added on February 5, 2021. In this section I used ANSYS 2019 R3 and performed a very comprehensive post-processing including independence of the mesh. This problem is completely solved inside the workshop.
ANSYS Training: A Easy Introduction with Applications
Ansys Workbench is general-purpose Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software that is widely used in industry and academia to solve many engineering problems through virtual simulation of engineering designs at the study.
Ansys Workbench is applied to the virtual simulation of the operating conditions of the product and helps us understand its behavior and helps us to achieve a very good design through simulation and optimization even before the product has been manufactured.
Using Ansys Workbench software, we can simulate problems in different areas such as structure, vibration, heat transfer, fluid flow and many more types.
This course consists of learning and completing the essential training required for effective use of the Ansys Workbench software so that, at the end of the course, you can confidently perform meshing of geometries, structural statics, modal, thermal, thermo-structural , buckling analysis using this Ansys Workbench software. You will also become familiar with the Design Modeler, Ansys Mechanical, Ansys Engineering Data and other important modules of the Ansys Workbench software.
This course is divided into theoretical and practical sessions.
In the theoretical session, you will be introduced to basic theoretical concepts concerning the subjects of FEA, mesh, structural statics, modal, thermal, thermo-structural and buckling analysis.
In the practical sessions, you will use industrial and academic examples to learn how to apply Ansys Workbench software to efficiently perform different types of simulations.
You will learn:
Will be able to demonstrate knowledge of applying industry leading FEA software (Ansys Workbench) to solve and understand the behavior of real world engineering problems.
Learn how to effectively perform 3-D, 2-D and 1-D static structural analysis using Ansys Workbench.
Will learn how to effectively perform modal analysis (dynamic analysis type) using Ansys Workbench.
Learn how to efficiently perform thermal analysis using Ansys Workbench.
Learn how to efficiently perform thermo-structural analysis using Ansys Workbench.
Will learn how to generate good meshes for finite element analysis.
Will learn the basics of finite element analysis as well as the basics of structural, thermal, modal and coupled static analysis.
Learn how to apply this Ansys Workbench software to their academic and research projects.
Ansys Tutorial
Composite materials are created by combining two or more layered materials, each with different properties. These materials have become a standard for both lightweight and strong products. Composites provide enough flexibility that products with complex shapes, such as boat hulls and surfboards, can be easily manufactured. The engineering of layered composites involves complex definitions that include many layers, materials, thicknesses and orientations. The technical challenge is to predict the performance of the finished product under real working conditions. This involves taking into account stresses and strains as well as a range of failure criteria. ANSYS Composite PrepPost provides all the functionality needed for the analysis of layered composite structures.
This tutorial has been divided into 11 sections. In order to get the best result, please follow the step by step tutorials if you are a beginner.
The first section of this tutorial is an introduction to Ansys software and ACP tools. You will learn how to add ACP tools into the project diagram and how to create very simple geometry.
In the second section you will learn more about PCA tools such as draping, rules, Rossete, orientation. This section is crucial for everyone to continue the tutorials. This section all tools explained step by step (PLEASE DO NOT MISS THIS SECTION)
In the third section, you will learn how to model the shape of a T-beam in ANSYS ACP and how to tension Analsys. This is a good example for beginners to test their modeling skills in PCA software.
Buckling is one of the important topics of composite materials. Therefore, all of section four is devoted to this question to find the eigenvalue of a simple composite plate
The ACP tool can be paired with other ACT extensions such as the Honeycomb Creator. In this section, you will learn how to create honeycombs and combine that with a composite model in ACP.
In the sixth, seventh and eighth section, you will learn how to combine model with mechanical model and PCA. Three different mechanical examples were solved with the PCA and the mechanical model in the ANSYS workshop. DON’T MISS SECTION 6
Sections 9, 10 and 11 are dedicated to fatigue, natural frequencies, failures such as rebound, delamination and progressive failure. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO THIS SECTION WITHOUT COMPLETING THE PREVIOUS SECTIONS IF YOU ARE BEGINNERS. So far this course has around 1800 students and I’ve noticed that some students skip the basic tutorials and jump to advanced examples and then complain that the videos don’t cover everything. In order to get the best of this course, it is best to start with the basics and learn all the tools from section 1 to 5, then you will be able to build any model in ANSYS ACP.
