Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Q: I am a total PowerPoint beginner, is this course for me?
This course will teach you all the necessary basics and advanced tools, but it is not a PowerPoint 101 for beginners. I mention the basic tools and techniques, but I guess you are computer literate and already know how to get there. I have prepared a completely free PowerPoint basics course, which will provide you with the knowledge to complete this one. It is available on my profile under free courses. It’s called “Powerpoint for Beginners – Free Basic Programs and Animations”
Q: I have signed up for your PowerPoint masterclass – presentation design and facilitation course. Should I get this one or is the other one enough? What is the best?
Good question! Both courses are high-level PowerPoint courses that teach you the knowledge and tools to create outstanding presentations, animations, and models. These are just two different versions that use different slides and unique content respectively. The advantage of this is that you can follow a diffdesign path erent on each route. Students who completed the first master’s course were asking me for more, and I’m happy to provide more if there is a demand. If you are already very comfortable with PowerPoint, a lesson is sufficient. But if you’re looking for even more design ideas and slides, and love my content and the way I teach, you won’t go wrong taking both courses. Each of these two courses has several unique sections that allow them to expand your knowledge in their own way.
Q: I have been using PowerPoint for over 15 years and think I already know. Will I learn something new?
I am an experienced PowerPoint instructor with over 250 youtube tutorials and over 10 published PowerPoint courses and series. Over the past few years, I have learned from both beginners and advanced students which areas to tackle to best influence your workflow in a positive and impactful way. My courses help you increase your efficiency, using shortcuts and trendy designs to help you achieve a modern and high standard of quality. If you need something that is not already in the course, you can always ask me questions about what topics to add to the courses that interest you.
Q: I’m still not sure if I want to invest in this course. I don’t know if I want to focus on design or animation. Is there a back-up plan?
Of course! First of all, you need to watch the promotional videos and watch the free preview lessons. They will give you a good understanding of the course content, pace, and what to expect when taking the course. Other than that, you get udemy’s 30 day no questions asked money back guarantee!

Chapter 1: Using Your Keyboard for Almost Everything
In Chapter 1, use your keyboard for just about everything in PowerPoint, how to optimize the PowerPoint environment for speed, and the many variations of shortcuts we’re going to cover.
This is the LAST place people look to improve their speed and efficiency, but it is THE critical first step if you want to create slides (from scratch) in under 3 minutes.
Chapter 2: Strategic Creation of Scalable Layouts
In Chapter 2, Quickly create, format, and manage the basics of professional presentations (shapes, lines, and text boxes). You will also learn the basic frameworks that will help you make better deck decisions that will save you time now and in the future.
After Chapter 2, you’ll be able to quickly manage and manipulate objects on a slide to quickly generate new layout ideas without breaking a sweat.
I’ll also show you exactly where most people’s layouts go wrong and how to troubleshoot and fix them quickly so that they are more robust in the future.

In Chapter 3, Align EVERYTHING in PowerPoint, focusing on the “technically” impossible alignment issues most people use to set up guesses.
This chapter will ensure that your slides maintain the highest level of professionalism by avoiding common (and often embarrassing) alignment issues that most people find impossible.
Chapter 4: Demystifying Common Row Problems in Hierarchies and Flow Processes
In Chapter 4, I’ll show you how to fix the many inconsistencies in working with lines in PowerPoint that destroy most people’s layouts (and create hours of editing problems).
Additionally, I’ll show you a step-by-step process for dealing with real-world connector disorder, as you’ll likely encounter a lot of them in your career. I won’t let other people’s disasters slow you down.
Chapter 5: Building Rapid Fire Setups with Boxes and Flying Carpets

The problem is, you don’t have a lot of time to invest because you are in the process of exiting … what now?
In this chapter, you will learn how to quickly create box layouts, how to configure your default formatting so that you can create your layouts faster, as well as how to create alternate layouts with default boxes (e.g. using flying carpets) and oddly shaped boxes.
