Photoshop is used extensively throughout the course and while you don’t need to be an expert, some familiarity (mainly layer masking techniques} will make your job easier. But if you’re not familiar with Photoshop, don’t worry, we’ve got some Photoshop introduction videos that will walk you through the process. You will need a digital camera with a wide angle lens. For full frame sensor cameras, a lens of around 16 to 35 is fine and if you have a cropped APS sensor camera, a wide angle lens of around 10 to 20 will also work. If you don’t have any lenses in this range but have a wide angle lens, use it for the course and learn what you need for a later purchase. You need a good tripod and a cable or wireless trigger to trigger your camera. I also recommend wireless triggers to trigger the strobe / flashes. This course largely covers lighting and includes several techniques. You will learn to photograph architecture without lighting, with strobes and umbrellas, also with a flash.
